DID YOU KNOW. . .

The Richland Continuing Ed’ Dept. offers classes for partner dancing.

You don’t have to be a current student to take these dance classes

and you only need a partner for the Couples Dance classes.

Here are some of the classes being offered in the summer semester:

Couples Dance

Wedding Dance Preparation (Tuesdays) 05/08/12 To 05/29/12

Course Number DANZ-1000-84008

In the first class we will review a checklist of important considerations for your wedding

dance and demonstrate various forms of dance explaining how and why they relate to a

variety of music genres.

The remaining classes will be comprised of teaching basic steps to the most common

genres and arrangements of popular wedding songs.

Even though this class is not intended to replace a fully choreographed routine you will

be shown basic steps to common wedding dances such as Nightclub Two-Step, Rumba,

Waltz, and Swing. This will be enlightening for couples not planning a wedding as well.

Meets from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Ballroom Dance

Social Dance (Mondays) 06/04/12 To 06/25/12

Features ballroom dances such as Waltz & Foxtrot- geared for beginner dancers.

Meets from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Latin Dance

Salsa Dance (Saturdays) 06/09/12 To 06/30/12

Learn the hot moves and the fun steps of salsa and add some spice into your life!

Have you ever considered participating in a Salsa team? This could be the first step!

Meets from 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Rhythm Dance

Swing Dances (Mondays) 07/30/12 To 08/20/12

Course Number DANZ-1000-84015

Features swing dances such as East & West Coast Swing. Swing is one of the easiest

dances to learn.

Meets from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

These classes are taught in private studio rooms free from distractions from other

activities you typically encounter at traditional public dance studios. Plus, you will

benefit from instruction provided by well trained instructors and their assistants.
